How To Create A Threading Instrument To Remove Hair

How To Create A Threading Instrument To Remove Hair

How To Create A Threading Instrument To Remove Hair: Originating from the middle east and India, threading is the ancient art of hair removal. With only some cotton thread, VideoJug will show you how to create your own threading instrument.

You Will Need

  • 3-4 feet 100% cotton thread

Step 1:

Get looped

Loosely tie a loop of thread around your neck.

Step 2:

Create triangle

Create a triangle with your thumb and index finger about a foot down from your neck.

Step 3:

Twist the triangle

Twist the triangle 7 times.

Step 4:

Up and down

Lower and raise the loose end of the string while holding your triangle taut to create the rolling movement in the twists. This movement will catch a few hairs in the twists and will lift them out.

Step 5:

The finish line

Find a volunteer and firmly place the line of twists onto the area to be threaded.
Move up and down while pulling on the loose end of the string. Slightly pull your neck away from the area being threaded.
The straight line of twists will catch any hair in it's path and is especially helpful when creating a neat eyebrow.

i've been threaded and it works to remove hair much like waxing, problem is the thread not only catches your hair; it also catches your skin and boy does that sting!

Thanks, but the video is too fast. It would help if the whole process was shown more slowly and the camera zoomed closer.

I will be finishing my threading course tomorrow:- just some tips... We hold the cotton reel in our left hand and open the thread across shoulder to shoulder length and place the thread in our right hand (still holding the reel in left) then we turn the thread on our indexleft fingerx5 and take the loop to the left thumb turning the thread x5then place your right thumbat the bottom index and middle finger on topinto the loop then turn your wrists x 5 - your ready to thread! NB: where the V point is that is your guide to pull the specific hairs you want.. Hope this kinda helped. (if clear enough)Good luck

Nice technique. I have tried, but maybe I've used the wrong cotton thread, because it doesn't glide well like in this video. Contrarywise, the thread breaks, cause the friction. Has anyone a good idea or an advice?

The trick is to do it quickly, otherwise it will hurt like hell. Also, apply a little baby powder when threading oily skin areas.

it's interesting but I couldn't do the loop. it's too fast, she could have done the loop slowly and focused the camera a little closer 'coz it's too hard to see.

i always wondered when threading would get recognised in the west. every eastern girl knows how to thread her eyebrows, its been used in india for hundreds of years. SOOOO much easier and convenient than waxing or plucking!!!!!!! its fabulous
