How To Fold A T-Shirt

How To Fold A T-Shirt: Keep your T-shirts neat and tidy by folding them according to our expert London tailor Clive Gilkes's advice. Make sure you have no more creases in the future by following the Videojug way on how to fold a t-shirt.
-
Step 1:
-
Fold after ironing
-
For best results, fold immediately after ironing.
-
Step 2:
-
Lay on flat surface
-
Place the t-shirt on its front on a flat surface and smooth out any creases. Make sure that it lies completely flat.
-
Step 3:
-
Fold one side
-
Fold one side of the t-shirt, including the sleeve, towards the middle. You should create a vertical fold from about the centre of the shoulder, down. Fold the sleeve back on itself.
Now repeat with the other side of the t-shirt.
Make sure the neck is in the centre and folds are an even distance from the neck on either side.
Fold the bottom hem upwards to the middle of the T-shirt and the bottom half over again to just below the neck.
Smooth the t-shirt down and turn it over. -
HANDY HINT
-
For more delicate t- shirts, first place a piece of tissue paper on top of the T-shirt and then fold as before. The tissue paper will cushion the folds and stop the material from creasing.
-
Step 4:
-
Long sleeves
-
For long sleeved T-shirts, fold in the side, then fold the sleeve back and down. The end of the sleeve should be parallel to the bottom of the T-shirt.
Now fold the bottom upwards to the middle, and then over again to meet the neck.
Smooth down and turn over.
