-
Step 1:
-
Math Tutor
-
Once you've gone through my CDs, you've tried to study on your own, and it's still not quite sinking in; so what do you do?
You get yourself a math tutor. Now, how do you find a math tutor? Well, there's many different ways of doing this.
-
Step 2:
-
School Counsellor
-
One suggestion is, if you're anywhere from K through to the 12th grade, the first step is to call your school counsellor or the principal or even your math teacher, and just ask "Do you know any math tutors?".
-
Step 3:
-
Learning Resource Center
-
Another suggestion if you are a university or college student is look for the learning resource centre or maybe the student government area on campus.
They may have a list or know of any other private math tutors. Another option is try the school newspaper. Many tutors advertise their services in the classified section. So, give that a try.
-
Step 4:
-
Math Departments
-
Another thing you can do is actually contact the math departments directly. Many math departments again have a list of private tutors.
They're not affiliated with the university, and they'll say that, "they're not affiliated with us", you know, for legal matters and stuff, but it's there for your convenience.
If you do call the math department and they don't have a list, suggest it. Say, "Hey, maybe you could get something going", because I'm sure other tutors will contact the department and say, "well, do you have a list and I could be listed on it".
