How To Hack The Staples 'Easy' Button

How To Hack The Staples 'Easy' Button: KipKay shows VideoJug users how to hack the Staples 'Easy' button. He shows us how to make the Staples 'Easy' button say anything you want it to, with these simple steps showing how to hack into the Staples 'Easy' button.
-
Step 1:
-
What You Will Need
-
In this project we’re going to turn this somewhat useless Staples easy button into something more fun. You're going to need about $15.00 worth of parts from your local electronics store. I’ll tell you where you can get the parts list and exact detailed instructions in a minute.
-
Step 2:
-
Remove The Parts
-
Remove the four rubber feet to get to the screws and disassemble it. Also remove the battery cover and the batteries. Unscrew the circuit board from the top plastic housing. Then you’ll want to the speaker and the button from the recording module. Using a dermal you need to cut open the original battery compartment in order to fit a nine-volt battery inside.
-
Step 3:
-
Modify
-
Reinstall the speaker in its original compartment and install the nine-volt battery. Then with the help of my cat I wired the recording module and the original circuit board. You also have to drill a couple of holes for a switch and a jack on the bottom of the case.
-
Step 4:
-
Reassemble The Parts
-
Reassemble everything and make sure all the wires are secure and the case fits tightly. Then I hot glued some magnets on the bottom where the rubber feet were so I can put this in a lot of different places.
-
Step 5:
-
Record
-
You’re able to record in using a microphone or using an 1/8 inch wire you can plug it in your computer and record from there. You can also record directly from the speaker on the bottom. You can just sit it somewhere and record another silly greeting (would you quit touching me and go back to work) or stick it to the fridge to remind you of stuff (we need cat food).
