Make-Up Tips For Men: How To Apply Eye Make-Up

Make-up artist Jo Reid shows you how to apply subtle eye make-up to make the most of your eyes.

Use an under-eye concealer with light reflecting properties to brighten your eyes. Start in the corner of each eye, working towards the outer corner and up into the lash line. Blend using a concealer brush.

Choose a foundation that matches your skin tone. If you tan easily, choose a yellow-based foundation, and if you burn easily, choose a pink-based foundation.

Apply the foundation to your eyelids with a concealer brush to even out the skin tone. Set with translucent powder.

Create a subtle eyeliner by mixing eyeshadow with water. Use a very thin brush to draw a line along the base of the lashes, and blend well.

Apply a light glossy mascara to finish the look. Brown mascara will be less obvious than black.

i can apply my mascara much more subtle and natural than she did. just remove any surplus with your fingers... oh, forgot to mention, i m a boy:))

nono black mascara will make you look like a doll you absolutely need clear mascara!!!!!

if a guy takes pride in his appearance, i applaud him wearing makeup. straight or gay, it looks good. why should we (women) be the only ones who wear it?

Clear mascara does seem like a better option for men, but I do feel that what a man should wear for the day time should differ to night time, for example suble by day, fashion by night, I think a guy gets away better with it at night as part of his 'overall' look, but with all male make up, less if definately more! I get countless comments from guys and girls about my eyes, I just wear clear mascara and a subtle eye liner to bring them out, works very well.

tell me what men is goig to spend that much on the mirror trying to wear all that??? maybe eye if he's doing boradway but come on.. i have no patience for all that.. just a concealer for the darkness around the eyes and to hide some imperfection thats it!

i think the mascara was too much... they sell clear mascara, i think this would be a better pick for a man.

Look at the cheekbones on that! I recogn it's way too neat, bordering on David Furnish.... Man makeup should look majorly imperfect, heavy and sloppy, a real DIY look. Think Depp!
