The Wingman
What does it mean to have a wingman?
So a good wingman, in my description, is somebody that's going to boost you up, make you look good in front of the other people. He's also going to be able to swoop into the crowd and distract anybody, that way you can have some one-on-one conversation with your chick that you're looking for. And the other thing is, you've got to have some role play, you've got to talk to your buddy beforehand and say, "Hey, these are the kind of things that we're going to say tonight" and whatnot, so that's what a good wingman is.
How can I be a good wingman?
Your wingman is supposed to put you in the spotlight. He's also there to distract. Say if you're interested in that one girl, she's with the fat friend--well, there we go. There's your wingman. He's going to take her. And boom, you've now got your woman. And also, to kind of go back to the spotlight, he's supposed to boost you up. He's supposed to be positive, make you look good, demonstrate that higher value to that group or that girl that you're interested in.
What does it mean to'swoop in'?
You know another great term, or I wouldn't say term but another great thing the wingman does is he kind of swoops into the crowd, and distracts everybody, makes loud noises, does whatever he is doing and when you are moving in on that target; that is when you have that one on one time, that alone time that conversation. That is another great thing that he does.
What is a good way for two guys to approach a group of girls?
Well first off, you know the wing man could be doing what I just said, was, you know, swooping in getting some of the crowd and that way you can have a little bit more of your one on one time with your target. But the other thing is, you know, I'd be kind of maybe even loud and obnoxious, so that way maybe the target will see that. You know, begin goofing. I don't know- that's typically what I do. I'm usually just goofy and loud and my wing man is just kind of like boosting me up, making me look better in front of them.
What do I do if my wingman is messing up my game?
What I've done is usually I'll pull him aside. I'm like, "Hey dude, check this out." or "Let's go to the bathroom." or something like that, then I'll say, "Dude, what the hell are you doing? Why are you messing this up?" Put him in his position, so that hopefully when we go back out it will get resolved quickly. So I mean, immediately if your wingman is messing up pull him aside, or act like nothing is happening like, "Oh, hey. Let's check this out." or "We got to run real quick." That would be my way to approach: try to get the fire out quickly.
Should wingmen have a rehearsed routine before they approach women?
I think wingmen definitely, before you go out... him and I talk about it all the time like, "Hey, what if this happens what what would we do?" We do some role playing every now and then. Like when we're in the car heading to a club or wherever we're going. We'll start talking about, "Hey, this is what we're going to talk about, you're a fireman and I'm a..." or whatever, you know we already have... sometimes we even have fake names. We like to play around with it a little bit so, yes we rehearse things.
